15. Adam Christopher covers Ariana Grande's "Breathin(acoustic)"
I love this stripped back version by Adam Christopher. In this cover you're just able to focus more on the lyrics and the message without all the extra production. His voice is so effortless!!!
14. Birdy covers Kygo's "Firestone"
Birdy's voice is able to bring such emotion to any song. She manages to take this song to a whole new dimension.
13. Aj Tracey and Jorja Smith cover "Flowers(Sunship Remix)"
No better artists than U.K music titans Aj Tracey and Jorja Smith to cover this U.K garage classic. Aj Tracey's verse just adds levels to this head-bopping tune.
12. Ed Sheeran covers "Touch" by Little Mix
Love this laidback cover of the pop jam "Touch". The bass plus Ed Sheeran's voice gives such a groovy vibe to the song.
11. Stormzy covers "Sweet Like Chocolate(Shanks and Bigfoot cover)"
Another garage classic cover!!! Stormzy gives us bars and he has such a nice tone to his voice when he sings. Not only is he a rap pioneer , he also has such a musical brain and knows how to create beautiful melodic performances
10. Anne-Marie covers Alicia Keys and Kent Jones (In Common and Don't Mind Mashup)
Anne-Marie is one of the most talented vocalists I've heard. Although I have so many covers of hers that I like this mashup is my favourite. Her voice is flawless and the trumpet just adds that bit extra.
9. Paramore covers Drake's "Passionfruit"
Hayley Williams has one of the most versatile voices being able to sound amazing in everything no matter the genre or style.
8. Justin Bieber Covers Tracy Chapman's "Fast Car"
Justin makes this song his own in this cover. Although he isint challenging himself that much vocally,it's not necessary for this song and the tone of his voice is beautiful.
7. Childish Gambino covers Tamia's "So Into You"
Excluding the fact that Childish Gambino is one of the most talented and versatile entertainers, his voice is magic on this classic r&b hit.
6. Sam Fender covers Ariana Grande's "Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored"
You can barely recognize the Ariana pop hit in this cover. Sam Fender makes it his own adding so much more emotion as well new rock element.
Special mentions
Alex Aiono and William Singe sing a mashup of "Black Beatles," "Confessions" and "No Problem"
An oldie but a goodie, never get tired of this mashup.
Brandon Arreaga from Prettymuch covers Summer Walker's "Playing Games" and Falling by Harry Styles.
Most of his covers are short snippets posted on his Instagram or TikTok however I had to give him a mention. His voice is unreal!
Now for the top 5!!!
5. Florence and the Machine covers Drake's(ft Rihanna) "Take Care"
It's the best when arists that you admire from two different spectrums of the industry collide. This alt/pop Florence version of Take Care never gets old for me. Her voice takes this song to a whole new world.
4. Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande cover Crowded House's "Don't Dream it's Over"
Miley and Ariana are both master vocalists and the contrast of their tones balance each other out perfectly in their cover of this classic. This cover is so pretty and its impossible not feel happy after watching Miley and Ariana in onesies make musical magic.
3.Will Heard covers Missy Elliott's "Beep Me 911"
Will Heard is such a slept on talent and gives us a cover that is almost unrecognisable to the original. I love the more melodic take he's given the song.
2. Alex Aiono covers "One Dance" and "Hasta El Amanecer"
When this cover first came out I listened to it so much that I couldn't listen One Dance without singing the Hasta El Amanecer part. Alex Aiono is the king of covers and after listening to this its comes as no surprise.
1. JP Cooper covers Lauryn Hill's "Ex-Factor"
JP Cooper has one of the most soulful voices I've ever heard and the soul he brings to this song is on another level. He has released an EP of his covers which is a must listen if you enjoy this one
