We loved this grungy rendition of Say So, not to mention her entrance giving us Scary Movie 3 vibes...."Cindy, the tv's leaking...!"
Sam Smith never disappoints and definitely brought it with this performance. With the current crisis that the live music industry is experiencing it was such a statement for them to perform in an empty auditorium. We also loved the ending as the quote "Don't fuck with the queer kids" was displayed. Sam Smith continues to inspire us all to celebrate who we are fearlessly.
Dababy's performance was next level. His activism against police brutality through his performances is evident as his EMA performance has a new spin on his previous BET live performance. It was definitely the most elaborate performance in terms of direction and storyline.
Nina's Performance Pick
Alicia Keys reminded us that she is an industry veteran compared to the other performers. She was magnetic and her moving stage added an extra element to the already beautiful location. This was such an amazing performance to watch
Yungblud is bringing punk back and we are here for it! He is such an electric performer and leaves all he has on the stage. Despite hanging from the ceiling his vocal control was on point throughout.
Fahimah's Performance Pick
Despite being one member down they killed it. Little Mix are one of the greatest performers in the industry at the moment, giving us moves while effortlessly belting out high notes. How do they make it look so easy is our biggest question??
Tate McRae is a unique talent. We were blown away by this performance. The dance break was everything and even though she's a newbie on the block she keeps on proving more and more that she's on her way to becoming a titan in the industry.
She said VOCALSSSS!! Zara is a powerhouse and incase you ever forget, just click on this EMAs performance as a reminder!
Special mention
Our very own Master KG won the South African category for Worldwide winners!
